About the LHL

The Louisville Historical League (LHL) was founded in 1972 by  Rev. Clyde Crews and Allan Steinberg. (Clyde and Allan are pictured in the upper left hand of this webpage) Since then, this non-profit organization has grown to about 600 members representing all ages and backgrounds.

Year-round the League offers unique opportunites to share in the rich historical and cultural heritage of the Louisville mtropolitan area (Jefferson County, Kentucky;  and, Floyd and Clark Counties of Indiana).  Your personal appreciation of Louisville and its environs is foremost in planning LHL activities.

Our headquarters is at the Peterson-Dumesnil House, 301 S. Peterson Avenue, in Crescent Hill.  (Pictured at left) For more information on the 'P D House', click on this website:  www.PetersonDumesnil.org   To contact the League, email us at LouHist@Hotmail.com
